Four, construction method

1. The quality of the geogrid material should meet the technical specifications of the drawings. Tensile strength ≥40KN/m, elongation rate <10%. The test results can only be obtained after the above indicators are met.

2. The geogrid should be placed longitudinally.

3. The length of the geogrid is 20cm, and it is connected by 8# wire.

4. The reserved length of the geogrid is 1m, and it is fixedly connected with the U-shaped nails of the lower grid.

5. At the junction of half-fill and half-fill and excavation, when the length of the fill end is greater than 10m, the length of the upper and lower geogrids buried in the excavation area should not be less than 6m, and the length of the filling area should not be less than 10m. When the length of the square head is less than 10m, the geogrid should fill the filling area, and the length of the buried excavation area should not be less than 3/5 of the length of the filling area.

Five, matters needing attention

1. When laying the geogrid, it should be placed perpendicular to the embankment axis along the high-strength direction.

2. The surface of the soil layer on which the geogrid material is laid should be smooth. It is strictly forbidden to have hard protrusions on the surface, such as fragments and stones. After paving, the filler should be filled in time to avoid direct exposure to the sun for a long time. Next, the interval should not exceed 48h.

3. The geogrid is paved with earth and stone materials. All vehicles and construction machinery are only allowed to drive along the axis of the embankment.

4. During the construction process, the geogrid should not be damaged to ensure the quality of the project.

5. Paving should be flat and smooth, without causing deformation or wrinkles.
