Waterproof board is also called geomembrane. It is customary to call geomembrane with a thickness of >=0.8mm as waterproof board, and geomembrane with a thickness of <0.8mm. It is an impermeable material made of high molecular polymer as the basic raw material.
The main function of EVA waterproof board is to prevent liquid leakage and gas volatilization.
The raw materials generally include: low-density polyethylene (LDPE), polyethylene (PE), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), ethylene/ethylene acid copolymer (EVA), etc.
The important role of EVA waterproof board in rock engineering is anti-seepage and isolation, but at the same time it also plays a role of strengthening and protection. Mainly used in: seepage prevention of earth-rock dams, rockfill dams, stone masonry dams, concrete dams, tailings dams, sewage dams, channels, reservoirs, etc.; anti-seepage lining of subways, basements and tunnels; road and railway foundations Anti-seepage; used in sanitary landfills with geotextiles such as filament geotextiles and bentonite waterproof blankets. and many more.
Construction specification of EVA waterproof board
1. Preparations before laying: 1.1 Foundation treatment: Clean the paving surface, require a flat substrate, solid soil, no unevenness, cracks, etc., no sharp objects, stones, iron wires, wooden sticks, etc., sod, trees within the impermeable range Roots should be removed and weeds should be sprayed with herbicides.
2. On the contact surface with the membrane, lay a layer of sand or clay with a small particle size as a protective layer. The thickness of the protective layer should not be less than 30 cm.
